From the cooperation between MR Collection Models and Lamborghini Centro Stile a new series of 1/12 scale sculptures is born. They are personally created by the designers of real Lamborghini cars, following the same procedures used in the development of the style proposition of the new cars.

For the designers, this is the perfect chance to fix the stylistic concept of the car that the sculpture represents. Having designed each details of the real car and having imagined every passage of lights and shadows on the car body, the designers are the only ones who know how to transfer this value to an elite object which is not aimed to reproduce the car on a smaller scale, but which is aimed to be an exclusive home decor, a real piece of art like the objects we like to keep in our homes, show to our guests and touch thousand times, searching for a sensory pleasure.

If a model with comparable dimensions, however well-finished and precious it may be, is born for the model collecting, the sculpture exists in order to condensate in it-self the idea that originated the real car. It is the purity of form, brought back to his abstract idea.

The formal concepts which arise in designer’s minds during the development of a model undergo a process of normalization, made of compromises of feasibility, which is necessary to make the car reproducible. The sculpture brings the generating lines back to their origin, crystallizes the volumes into their iconicity.

The result does not decay as time goes by, it does not fade as fashion goes by. As solid geometry, the object is intended to keep his symbolic value unchanged. We can enjoy it to infinity. It’s the power of pure form.

Dalla collaborazione tra MR collection e il Centro Stile Lamborghini nasce una nuova serie di sculture in scala 1:12. Sono realizzate direttamente dai designer delle vetture Lamborghini, con lo stesso processo con cui sviluppano le proposte di stile per le nuove auto.

Per loro è l’occasione perfetta per fissare il concetto stilistico dell’auto cui la scultura fa riferimento. Avendo disegnato ogni dettaglio della vettura, immaginato ogni passaggio di luci e ombre della carrozzeria, i designers sono i soli a sapere come trasferire questi valori in un oggetto elitario, pensato non per replicare l’auto in scala più piccola, ma per essere oggetto di arredo esclusivo, pièce of art in senso stretto, alla pari con l’oggettistica che più ci piace tenere in casa, mostrare ai nostri ospiti, toccare mille volte alla ricerca del piacere sensoriale.

Se un modellino di dimensioni comparabili, per quanto curato e di grande pregio, nasce per il collezionismo, la scultura esiste per condensare al suo interno l’idea che ha generato la vettura reale. È la purezza della forma riportata alla sua idea astratta.

I concetti formali che scaturiscono dai designers durante lo sviluppo di un modello subiscono, nella trasformazione dal disegno alla realtà, un lungo processo di normalizzazione, fatto di compromessi di fattibilità, necessario a rendere producibile l’automobile. La scultura riporta le linee generatrici all’origine, cristallizza i volumi nella loro iconicità.

Il risultato non decade nel tempo, non sbiadisce al passare delle mode. In quanto geometria solida, l’oggetto è destinato a mantenere inalterato il suo valore simbolico. Possiamo goderne all’infinito. È il potere della forma pura.
